This basic course is geared towards small animal practitioners and assumes some basic understanding of calcium homeostasis and the consequences of hypercalcemia in feline patients. This non-interactive course is open to VIN members only.
Open To This program (22-30043) is approved by the AAVSB RACE to offer a total of 2 CE Credits, with a maximum of 2 CE Credits being available to any individual veterinarian. This RACE approval is for the subject matter categories of: Scientific, using the delivery method of Non-Interactive-Distance: (Online, Correspondence, Journal, or Other Self-Study). This approval is valid in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB RACE; however, participants are responsible for ascertaining each board's CE requirements.

This basic course will appeal to seasoned, newly minted and returning small animal clinicians alike - anyone interested in deepening their understanding of decision making that enhances clinical anesthesia safety. Veterinarians new to and re-acquainting themselves with small animal practice will find a valuable overview of drugs to help optimize anesthesia protocol selection. While experienced practitioners will find this course helpful for optimizing existing anesthesia protocols and incorporating newly available anesthetic drugs.
Open To Open to veterinarians. Licensed or experienced (5 years suggested) veterinary staff may also enroll provided they are associated with an enrolled veterinarian. Veterinary staff need to provide the name of their veterinarian in the comment section during the enrollment process.

This intermediate course will be open to veterinarians actively interested in an overview of small animal reproduction, fluids/electrolytes/acid-base, urology, nephrology and endocrine information. This course is the fifth of six modules in the Organ System Pathophysiology and ABVP Core Examination review series. The MULT207-1014: Pathologic Basis of Disease and the MULT208-0215: Principles of Medicine courses are recommended prerequisites.
