Recently the VIN family lost a beloved member. Consultant Ken Harkewicz passed away August 26. Ken guided many a VINner through the care and medicine of reptiles and amphibians, sharing his copious knowledge and love of these creatures.

If you are one of the many VINners whose practice, personal pet care, or life was enriched by Ken, please share your memories of him in this discussion. The hope is to compile these tributes for his wife as a gift from the VIN Community

How far away is the nearest emergency clinic from your practice (or your community if you aren't in practice) during non-rush hour traffic?

Can you roll your patients to the nearest emergency clinic on a gurney or do you wish you had a medical helicopter? This week's Quick Poll digs into the distance to emergency services.

By contrast, last week's Quick Poll addressed the ways of putting distance between yourself and problem clients. When it comes to giving clients the heave ho, most VINners who responded prefer to go old school with over 50% using the postal service, and another 30% going with telephone calls. 13% go so far as to have an in person meeting with the client.

Visit the Quick Poll Archives to view the full results and take this and other Quick Polls.
