When and Why Did You Become a VINner?

What were you doing from 2006-2008? Were you standing in line to buy the first iPhone, posting one of the first tweets on Twitter, or composing the last Western Union telegram?

While many were being introduced to new technology and saying goodbye to the old, VINners were crunching the numbers on the new CRI calculator, downloading the first VINcast, and getting the scoop from the first VIN News Service story.

When and why did you become a VINner? Find the discussion for your year in the list on the right side of this page and share what VIN means to you.  You can show as well as tell! Share a photo, video, or even a song clip.

Can't remember when you joined? Email 30years@vin.com and we'll help you figure it out.

Whatever year you joined, share your thoughts about VIN -- Your VIN Journey -- on this special Message Board and through the VIN 30th Anniversary Center.

UK veterinarians grapple with pet vaccine shortage

VNS is YOUR news service. Have an idea for a story?
Send it to Reporters@vin.com

Do you know any veterinarians who have retired or taken an extended (more than usual vacation time) sabbatical due to the pandemic?

The costs of COVID have been severe (millions of worldwide deaths) and unexpected (the great toilet paper blight of 2020) and they have left their mark upon collective and individual psyches. This week, the Front Page Quick Poll tries to learn whether these tolls have impacted veterinary careers.

If you'd like a break from COVID, grab a cookie and some milk and head over to the Quick Poll Archives to take a look at the most recent poll on lactation breaks. Over 40% of VINners say their workplaces allow for breaks whenever the lactating person deems it necessary. Just over 11% have limits on when lactating personnel can take a break.

Once you're done taking this poll and reading the full results, have fun perusing the older polls in the Quick Poll Archives.
