CLINICAL UPDATES: JOURNALS

Pharmacokinetic comparison of oral tablet and suspension formulations of grapiprant, a novel therapeutic for the pain and inflammation of osteoarthritis in dogs

These findings suggest that the 6 and 50 mg/kg suspension doses are equivalent to 4.5 and 30 mg/kg tableted doses, respectively.

Prospective evaluation of the safety of compounded bulk material L-asparaginase in dogs with lymphoma
The overall response rate to the combination of compounded L-asparaginase (CLASP) and a corticosteroid was 80% (24% CR and 56% PR). In combination with a steroid, the compounded L-asparaginase evaluated in this study is safe and demonstrates activity against canine lymphoma.

Effect of chronic furosemide on salt and water intake of ponies
Sodium chloride intake increased in ponies treated daily with furosemide from 7.9 ± 2.2 (standard error of the mean) to 20.3 ± 2.4 g/d and was significantly higher than control for all weeks of treatment. Water intake was also significantly increased from 8.9 ± 1 during the control period to 11 ± 0.7 kg/d during furosemide treatment, and the ponies drank more water than they lost.

MAKING CONNECTIONS

Many Gamers Amongst Us?
Exploring this game is a real treat, though. The environments are just packed with details, and I love all the little secret areas and various ways you can make your way around the environment. The story is interesting so far, and those mimics, man... they freak you out sometimes. I have noticed there is always a little weird musical cue when they're around though.
