Welcome to VSPN

The Veterinary Support Personnel Network is all about bringing together members from all over the world to interact with each other, teach each other and learn from each other. As a member of VSPN, you'll have access to thousands of colleagues worldwide who want to help you and your patients - 24 hours a day! Benefits for VSPN members include access to the online version of the VSPN Notebook®, community message boards, rounds sessions and an extensive library of past rounds transcripts and handouts. We offer over 50 continual education courses per year taught by leaders in the field of veterinary technology.

Become a part of an interactive community for veterinary support personnel, by veterinary support personnel.

Holidays can be a busy time of year. In veterinary medicine we may see a heavier workload with additional boarding patients, emergencies and fewer staff working. It is easy to forget taking time to care for ourselves during the busy holiday season. Remember to take a minute to relax and recharge so you can care for your patients and family!

The VIN/VSPN offices will be closed next week on November 23 and 24, 2017 for the US Thanksgiving holiday. The VSPN Administrative team will be monitoring email during the holiday, but response times may be slightly delayed.

We have ruled out heartworm, CHF, bacterial infection.

There is known exposure to psilocybin-containing mushrooms as well as the possibility of marijuana.

Start time issues
We are a GP practice, but the docs would like to "round" with medical staff 5 minutes prior to opening the doors, but trying to figure out positive and/or negative results prior to rolling it out.

Scheduling question in California
All I can find is the Fair Scheduling Act, alternative work weeks, and info about when 10 hour shifts became legal; but nothing that says it has to be all one or the other.
