To help bridge the gap created by the COVID-19 pandemic that has left many students without externships or other training opportunities, VIN provided virtual externships to about 30 students. These VINterns are helping with ongoing VIN projects, and also some new ones inspired by their unique talents!

"I jumped on the opportunity and am now working on dose comparisons and prescriber highlights for VVDH, and adding signalment to message board cases which I find interesting to read. I am also, unexpectedly, illustrating client handouts on popular topics, such as atopic dermatitis and giardia. I am grateful for this opportunity that is turning out to be a well-rounded virtual externship tailored to my interests." -- Sherry Shih, 2020 VINtern

What are your opinions about sharing specific toxicity calculators with VSPN, to allow veterinary technicians access to them?

This week's Quick Poll is all about helping your practice. VIN is going to share several clinical calculators with VSPN (the veterinary support staff community, part of the VIN Family). Concerns have been raised about sharing toxicity calculators specifically (chocolate, NSAIDs, rodenticides). Share your opinions in the Quick Poll.

Last week's Quick Poll diverged from veterinary medicine into the human world. How readily available is COVID testing in your town? Nearly half of your colleagues said testing is available in their town within a few days. Visit the Quick Poll Archives to read the full results and to take this poll and others.
