Past Professional Activities

  • His research has documented the effects of environmental stressors on disease in cats, and the role of effective environmental enrichment in mitigating them to promote recovery. Dr. Buffington has published more than 120 scientific papers, 30 book chapters, 3 books (one an iBook), an iTunes U course, and created the Indoor Pet Initiative (http://indoorpet.osu.edu) website.
