Current Professional Activities

• Dr. Schissler enjoys practicing dermatology and otology at Best Friends Animal Hospital in Billings, Montana within a team of primary and urgent care veterinarians.
• She particularly enjoys creating practical educational content to bolster veterinarians’ confidence and enjoyment of managing dermatology cases.

Past Professional Activities

• Two years of practice in Louisville, Kentucky.
• Clinical faculty member at Colorado State University where she held a clinical, teaching, and research appointment for 10 years and proudly mentored 5 residents. 
• Served as member and chair of the ACVD Exam Committee.
• She is currently serving on the ACVD Credentials Committee.

Special Interests

• Otology, infection control, and practical dermatohistopathology, cytology and microbiology. Most of all, I love collaborating with veterinarians and pet owners to provide relief to dogs and cats with the very worst of presentations.

Family Life

• Dr. Schissler has a husband and a delightful daughter.

Hobbies

• Travel, hiking, searching for beautiful rocks, observing wildlife, drinking good coffee, and learning to ski.
