Dr. Brooks is a native of the Los Angeles area and returned there after graduating from the University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. She completed an internship and worked as a staff veterinarian in several Los Angeles hospitals before buying the Mar Vista Animal Medical Center in 1997, a small but very busy practice. She has been involved with VIN since 1995.
