Course Message Board Recommendations

We suggest that you plan to check the message boards at least once a day to address any questions or comments. The boards are a great place to explore an issue more deeply or for students to ask questions that you did not have time to respond to during the Real Time Session.

At the end of each Real Time Session, if there are any questions remaining in the Question Screener, your course facilitator will email them to you.  You can then post these questions (please include the name of the person asking the question) along with your response to the appropriate message board folder.
Example:

Folder: Wk 02 - Genetic Testing
Discussion: Arrhythmogenic RV Cardiomyopathy
Message Posted by Instructor:

Randall Peters asked: At what age can a confident diagnosis of arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy be found in the Boxer?

Based on Dr. Meurs work, the average age of onset of ARVC is 6-8 years, with a range of 2-13 years. A confident diagnosis is made by documenting the arrhythmia at any age. Based on holter monitoring, more than 100 VPCs in a 24 hour period is diagnostic. In many cases, this can be documented with auscultation in the exam room.

When posting new discussion threads please keep the title short, but descriptive.

If you include a link to a website outside of VIN/VSPN, please include the entire URL (i.e. http://www.aavsb.org) so it will hotlink in the post and make it easy to get to. Also include a brief description of what it is (for example: American Association of Veterinary State Boards).

We can also move posts that participants have mis-posted inappropriately. Just tell your course facilitator what folder, discussion thread, post if it's a specific post, and where you want it via email and we'll take care of that for you.

Please let us know if you need any help using the Message Boards.
