Course Information:
Cats are not dogs. Physical Rehabilitation must be handled in a different manner than with canine patients. How can we get our feline patients to cooperate? Feline Physical Rehabilitation is readily used as part of a pain management program for cats that are overweight, have joint conditions or have been through trauma. Pain can be a primary reason why overweight cats do not have enough mobility. Their cardiovascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal and digestive systems are affected by obesity.
- Examine feline behavior and handling skills for exercises.
- Discuss manual therapy.
- Discuss electrotherapy.
- Discuss therapeutic exercises.
- Discuss hydrotherapy.
- Differentiate stress/pain/anxiety.
RACE Accreditation: This program has been approved for 1.5 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize RACE approval. (20-907934)
