This course will cover common abdominal radiology concepts and techniques. First through identifying normal anatomy structure and then introducing common abnormal presentations. The GI system, liver, spleen, kidney, gallbladder, adrenal glands, and urinary system will all be discussed.

To earn a certificate of completion, the participant must complete all learning modules and score 80% or better on the end-of-course test. Participants must complete the participation requirements to be eligible for a certificate.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, the participant should be able to

• understand proper procedure and techniques to capture ideal abdominal imaging.
• identify normal anatomy landmarks using abdominal radiographs.
• identify common indications to utilize abdominal imaging.
• utilize abdominal radiographs to help identify common abnormal structures to add in diagnosis.

Level and Prerequisites: This basic VIN CE self-study course is open for enrollment to veterinarians interested in abdominal radiology. This course is open to VIN and VSPN members only.
